Epoch 3 Blog 3

In epoch 3 I read a lot about revolutions such as the industrial revolution and the scientific revolution. These events impacted and affected countless people. Therefore doesn't that make it history not past? A main difference in my opinion between past and future is that the past is anything that happens whether it is significant or not, whether it impacted anyone or not, etc. Historical events however are very commonly known, and in history there are "revolutions" where things drastically change. In these revolutions there was lots of change and competition. Was all this constant change for the better or for the worse? Along with change comes a little competition. While change is occurring there are always people trying to get on top, people trying to invent the next great thing, and people trying to be the center of the change. For example, once the amazing printing press came out, immediately it seemed like tons of people were trying to top that and invent something even more extraordinary. That is a good thing on one hand because if there was no competition then no would try to create more and better things. Who determines a revolution...
